She splashed into the choppy waters of Kollywood with her oomph. Slowly but surely, the Gujarati girl from Surat carved a niche for herself in Tamil cinema. Now Namitha is awaiting the release of Jaganmohini, a bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu.
"I play a girl who gathers pearls and falls in love with the prince," said Namitha. "But his family does not accept her and she is killed. Later she comes back as a ghost to stop his marriage to another princess".
The actress is not signing any new films because she wants to gauge audience response to Jaganmohini.
