Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela has been crowned Miss Universe 2008. Mendoza and three other Latin Americans women made the final five at Sunday’s contest.
The four other finalists were Miss Colombia Tailana Vargas, Miss Dominican Republic Marianne Cruz Gonzalez, Miss Mexico Elisa Najera, and Miss Russia Vera Krasova.

Actress Anushka next film in tollywood film "Vedham" and Anushka Largest Pictures and Stills Gallery
Director Krish, who won rave reviews and accolades for his debut film Gamyam, has roped in an unusual cast for his next film titled Vedham. This casting coup will be talked about for a long time and it definitely ushers in a new trend in Tollywood. Krish has roped in Allu Arjun, Anushka and Manoj as lead actors in his next film.
The actors will not do ‘guest appearances’ but ‘lead roles’ in the film. Anushka and Allu Arjun have not been paired opposite each other. They will be doing prime characters along with another hero, Manchu Manoj. This is multi-starrer in the truest sense. The film is to be launched on 7th June.
The movie is being produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Devineni Prasad under the Arka Media banner. M M Keeravani scores the music to the lyrics of Seetharama Shastry and ES Murthy. Cinematographer, Jnanashekar, who has handled the camera for Housefull is filming it.

Promoising young Tamil Actor Jayam Ravi is marrying his ladylove Aarthi on June 7 at Mayor Ramanathan Centre in Chennai. Marriage and and a reception is said to take place on the same day with the total support of Ravi’s family.

Ravi debuted in the film Jayam (hence the name Jayam Ravi) released in 2002 produced by his father Mohan and directed by his brother M. Raja.
He also has a sister, Roja Mohan, who is a dentist. Jayam Ravi completed his schooling at Jawahar Vidyalaya in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. He studied dancing with the bharatnatyam dancer Nalini Balakrishnan and performed his arangetram at the age of 12.
